what is a portfolio?

A portfolio is collection of investments held by an investor. Assets in portfolio can be categorized in-


(1)Financial assets (2) Real estate.



Financial Assets: These are non-physical assets, such as stocks, bank balance, bonds etc.

There are 3 types of financial assets - (1) debt assets (2) equity assets (3) balanced assets.
